I wouldn't say the dye failed, but it just looks much darker than I expected. Which isn't exactly a bad thing since I deliberately chose a not-as-bright colour because I'm lazy to patch the roots. The colour doesn't really show in photos though. Looks lighter in real life.

Can't remember when's the last time I dyed my hair. Maybe like 4 years back or something...

I have unknowingly neglected my blog for almost 2 weeks. Hah. This month seems to be passing by super quickly.

Anyways, just for the record, I'll be going to Pongland in mid November~
ALONE.

Oh mans. First time in my life I'll be travelling alone. If something big happens in Pongland again I'll die there alone. zzz.

And yea, I haven't booked my hotels yet. LOL.
I was just checking yesterday and realised that most of the cheaper hotels have been fully booked so I'm left with the not so cheap hotels to choose from. Which means about 100 odd bucks per night. Nuuuuuuuu~~~~~~ It's expensive to travel alone, seriously. Especially since I'm the kind who doesn't want stay at places like hostels or backpacker inns where I don't have my own bathroom and stuff.

But on second thought, I would rather pay to stay at a better hotel than stay at a budget hotel this time because I'll be ALONE. It'll be so scary to stay at some creepy/old/cramp hotel alone. Especially since I'll prob be rotting in my room unless I have someone to meet. And it's not like I can get someone to come and stay over with me since there'll only be one bed. I'm so NOT a budget traveller. LOL.

So the plan is to meet up with more ppl so they will pay for all my meals and that will offset my not-so-cheap hotel stays. Hahahahaha. Nah, just kidding. Although I definitely wouldn't mind if someone pays for my meals. Who would mind free meals, right. Hoho.

Why am I so smart? LOL

My JLPT results finally came and I miraculously passed with full marks. I didn't even manage to finish doing a set of past year papers because I only started on it the night before, and I fell asleep doing it. Talk about exam preparations man. Hah.

Btw I'm posting this using the Blogger app on Tsukuma. Was curious how it would look like published. It doesn't seem to allow me to edit the fonts and colours, unfortunately.

In case you might be just a little interested to know, sad to say, I am now an owner of an iPhone.

My lovely Ryuuichi, who got all dolled up in Odaiba, has started to show signs of dementia. Lol. I couldn't hear out of the speaker, and then the memory card started to be unrecognizable, and soon the camera function got wonky too. I still have him though, and I still use him as an alarm clock because you know, I need many many many many alarm clocks to wake me up.

Of course I could have gotten any other phone, but I gave in to the temptation of typing in Japanese, and checking email on the go. Yes I check my email more often than I give a shit about smses. Hah.

Anyways, meet Tsukuma. :D

Got him a nice black bunny suit that comes with a detachable fluffy tail that functions as a phone stand. I left the fluffy tail at my office since when I'm at home my phone just lies on the bed most of the time.

Still not a fan of touch screens. And this so called "smartphone" is smart in all the unnecessary places. Like, I can't even set "no tone" and then leave it on vibration mode hoping it will vibrate. NOOOOO it needs a tone to vibrate, even in vibration mode. Wtf?

Just FYI, my phone will forever be on vibration mode because I hate all the iPhone ringtones. Actually more like I hate it if people will know I'm holding an iPhone, just by hearing my ringtone. So embarrassing. Yes I find it humiliating that I have fallen to the cult. Seriously, if only some Nokia phone or whatever had the function to type in Japanese... argh.

So I was at Eastpoint's taxi stand waiting for a cab.

A Japanese friend came to Singapore so I brought her around in the afternoon today. It was nearly 8 and I hadn't had dinner yet, and I was tired after a day of walking amidst the weekend crowd, and my muscles were aching from last night's training...
and then this cab came along.

If you didn't know, Eastpoint's taxi stand is actually situated on a small road which is separated into two one-way lanes by a curb in the middle.

It was my turn to go next at the taxi stand, and this jackass taxi driver on the opposite side of the road kept looking over to this side, with that look of query on his face as if wondering if I wanted to take a cab. Hello I'm at a taxi stand leh, do I look like I'm queuing up to buy chicken rice? Retarded to the max.

Anyways, I looked back at him and guess what. He actually gestured for me to cross the bloody road to get on the cab. WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING A TAXI STAND? HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO MAKE A U-TURN AROUND THE CURB?? And the thing is, he was blocking the traffic since it was a one-way road. I was like all "????" in my head but seeing that 3 cars had lined up behind that idiot, and I was really tired and wanted to get home quick, so I crossed the road and tried to get on the cab. Inconsiderate to the max.

TRIED. Because the bloody door was freaking locked. Fail to the max.

So I went around the damn vehicle and got in from the other side, told him where to head, and asked him why was his door locked. And his reply was, "Sorry ah, just now got one stupid Indian man." I feel more stupid for crossing the road to get into your stupid taxi. Horrible attitude to the max.

And then! Eventually he still had to make a U-turn around the curb (thus driving past the taxi stand) to get into the right direction towards my place. Stupid to the max.

Never mind all that. Although I was all ready to get into an argument with him if he showed any worse customer service, I was tired and just wanted to get home in peace. So we made it all the way into the carpark relatively smoothly. And then I told him to drop me off at the "corner in front", "yes, the corner". I specifically remember I told him twice. And he dropped me off like 8metres before "the corner". Brainless to the max.

Okay, never mind. I won't die from walking an extra 8metres. So I paid and got my change and was about to get out of the taxi. And then came the bomb.
"Miss, you look very sweet, can I get to know you?"
DISGUSTED TO THE MAX.

I stared at him, flabbergasted for a good 1 second, and then said Thank you, and got out of the car.

Yes I know I look very sweet thank you but no you cannot get to know me. You bloody hell made me cross the road to get into your lok kok taxi and then made a U-turn, which rendered the energy and effort I used to cross the road pointless, and then failed to take my instruction on where I wanted to alight, made me pay for the low-class attitude I had to endure during the ride, and actually thought you stood a chance of getting a positive response from hitting on me? Sorry I don't deal with losers.

Seriously, it's not that I have very high ideals. Really, if you knew me since my schooling days you would maybe know that I have stopped wishing for prince charming. And honestly, it's not that I'm being biased or that I prefer Japanese (or any other ethnicity) over local men.
"The grass is always greener on the other side", blahblah, whatever.
Just my luck that the local men who attempt to talk to me are losers.
Oh well, on the brighter side, at least my encounters with them motivates me to blog. Hurhur.

SHANGRI-LA RASA SENTOSA~!

Haven't been to Sentosa for over a decade.
Was there last night with my boss for Watsons' Health, Wellness & Beauty Awards thingy.

Ichikami won an award for Best Selling Japanese Herbal Shampoo (like, how specific can they get man.) and my scheming boss asked me to go with her since I have long black-ish hair.
Living advertisement, tadah~!
When she first asked me to go with her a few weeks ago I thought I just needed to stand around with my long straight hair, the typical "vase", you know. But I later found out that she actually wanted me to go on stage to receive the award.
Kenna saboh-ed.

So yeah. Luckily it was just a take and go kind of thing, no need for any thank you speeches or what not. Dinner was not bad, though they smartly dragged out a 4-course dinner over 2 and a half hours to make sure people couldn't just finish the main course and then shake their butts and leave.

High cholesterol meal though. We each had 2 huge prawns with some green looking I dunno what sauce and cherry tomato with a pinch of caviar on it for appetizers, lobster bisque with a grilled scallop on the side, cod with creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus for the main course, and some I dunno what cake thingy with ice cream on top for dessert. It was yummy.

Oh yea, and I saw Michelle Chong in real life. She was the special guest because apparently she's acting/directing/writing/producing a movie in collaboration with Watsons, which will be up on screens in November. She's really quite pretty and elegant in real life.

So anyway, mandatory photo with the damn award, post-party.

End of story.

And a bonus narcissistic pic because my boss was so shocked when I came to work with kind of a big-eye makeup look. Like I've said before, she's like the least Japanese Japanese person I've ever met. She's totally out of touch with Japanese makeup trends and only recently learned that in Japan the short form for coloured contact lenses is カラコン(kara-kon).
So yea. She kept exclaiming ジョーンちゃんじゃない！(that's not Joan-chan!).

Went to Daiso to buy some storage boxes just now. My makeup stash has been growing rather rapidly over the past few months (considering it was stagnant at 1 mineral foundation, 1 concealer, 1 mascara, 1 gel eyeliner, 1 eyeshadow palette, a couple of lipsticks/glosses and 1 blusher which I probably used less than 5 times in the past 2 years), probably influenced by my current job, as well as my belated fascination with Harajuku and Gyaru culture.

I am still not very bothered with makeup on most days though. My daily so-called makeup routine is either just BB mousse (the Maybelline one I bought in Japan. it rocks. hope it comes to SG) and concealer, or sunscreen and concealer on even lazier days.

Anyways, back to Daiso...
Daiso is opening an outlet at EASTPOINT!!!! Zomg my favourite mall. So exciting!! LOL.

Store visit the whole day for the past two days, setting up displays at Watsons and Sasa.
As if carrying bulky display boards and testers and whatever else, rushing from shop to shop is not tiring enough, I just had to meet this lameass guy (LAG) outside Plaza Singapura.

LAG: (looking at the display boards I was holding) 小姐，你去上学啊？
Me: 我不是学生。我在工作。
LAG: Orh!做Events的！
Me: 不是。我现在在工作，你有什么事吗？
LAG: 可不可以请你帮我做一个survey?两个问题而已。
Me: 什么问题？
LAG: 我们过去那边的Starbucks。
Me: 为什么要去Starbucks??
LAG: 因为我的survey在那边。。。
Me: 我在赶时间。
LAG: 我懂了！你很像是做Marketing的！

Annoying piece of lame ass shit. I HATE salesmen and I HATE men who can't make decisions/can't go straight to the point. That idiot was the epitome of both.

If he was trying to get me to do a survey, he obviously failed. If he was trying to sell me something under the pretense of getting a survey done, he failed twice as badly since he didn't even manage to get me to do the damn survey. If he was simply trying to chat me up, he has bad eyesight looking for a target, and pure bad luck picking me as his target, and really bad talk skills. In other words, FAIL. Tsk.

Been shopping at Cheers since last month or so, because they are having this promotion where you get a sticker with every $2 spent, and once you've collected a certain number of stickers on the provided card, you get to either buy or receive a little Skelanimals plushie dangly.

I first got the bulldog, and then I got the rabbit which I wanted. Then last week I got the owl, and I was intending for that to be my last one since the promo ends 12 July. But then! There was this lady in front of me, who bought a ton of stuff but didn't take the stickers. And the cashier guy was so nice, he gave them all to me. LOL. So now I'm on my way to collecting my 4th Skelanimal~~ I hope I get the penguin. =D

And... the point of this post wasn't about Skelanimals. It's about how the Cheers staff love me. Hahahaha.
I was at Cheers again just now and then the cashier (different guy) suddenly turned around and tossed these two lame looking Singtel danglies on the counter saying, "You want? Give you."
Lol random much.
My sister was like, "How come the Cheers ppl so nice to you one?"
And I was like, "I dunno, maybe cos' I'm CHEERful." Ahahahaha.

No, actually I'm not so sure if they hearts me but I'm kinda sure they hearts my style since they spotted me on the streets for the second time. Say whutttt? Lol.

Guess I made the right choice to go down to Orchard. Lucky day today. I managed to buy my Victoria Beckham Save Japan U-Tee at UNIQLO, and I managed to find the camisole I wanted at the MANGO sale in my size! I had my eye on it since last week, but they didn't have my size at both Somerset 313 and Ngee Ann City outlets.
Guess what? I found it at Somerset 313 today. Weird but yay.

And of course, got spotted by Trey and the UNIQLOOKS crew again. Lady Luck is giving me props. Lol. Apparently, for some unknown reason my previous look was uploaded but never appeared on the contest website. No idea cos' I haven't been checking the site. Lol.
Meaning, people won't find it on the website itself. So, nobody gets to vote on it unless I spam the URL all over the internet. Alamak, like that how to win? I don't have many friends. LOL.

But that Trey guy was pretty nice he asked one of the staff to check up on it, saying that my previous look was a "winning look" for him. Woot. He's quite a funny guy. He could totally remember what I wore last week, even the suspenders even though I didn't even wear them like suspenders. Sasuga stylist. Lol.

Oh and while I was getting my photo taken, this huge swarm of people marched down the street, totally ignoring people taking photos and whatsoever. This guy with a camcorder totally walked past me, lifting his camcorder OVER my head. Like wtf hello basic manners pls?? And the big hooha was, durh, AKB48. So they open a stupid concept cafe in Singapore and they march down Orchard Road taking photos in front of all the shopping malls, and then their swarm of staff/media/otaku fans just invade the street like there are no other people standing around. Funniest thing is, they were giving out flyers and it seems nobody knew who the shit they were. The UNIQLOOKS staff was looking at the flyer and asking me, Who are they? Are they all the same? Haha.

Okay end of story. Wow such a long post today. Finally something interesting happened in my life it seems. Lol.

Something slightly out of the blue happened today, so I'm blogging! Yay~

I was at basement 2 of Wheelock Place when this aunty with blue eyeshadow and red lips abruptly stopped me and asked, "So, I'm going to Borders, go up or go down?"

Me: "Go up using this escalator. (points to escalator)"
Aunty: "Go up 2 floors?"
Me: (Thinks for a moment) "Yup, 2 floors."

She could even mention 2 floors so I think she actually has a pretty good idea of where she's going. And by the way, aunty ah, there's no escalator that goes down so obviously its up right. LOL. Randomness.

If you've realised (or if you have not) I update my blog about once every 7-10 days on average. I kinda wanna blog more, but there's nothing interesting to blog about? And then I read other peoples' blogs and they can write a thesis on a day's happenings.
Or how great GOD is.
Or how miserable their lives are.

I dunno. Maybe its just me. Perhaps I'm just not suitable for blogging because I don't care for much, and I'm not used to sharing my life with every Tom, Dick or Harry, and I don't go out much, and the number of friends I actually hang out with can probably be counted with both hands. In short, I "don't have a life", according to those people who claim they have "lives".

SO! I decided to blog today! Lol.
Just so you know, I have friends and I have a life that I am enjoying.
And this, is how my "life" works:

I have a full time job and I work 5 days a week.

I have my Saturdays and Sundays off.

I take Japanese classes on Mondays, and netball trainings on Fridays. Most of the other days, I go straight home after work.

I clean my bunnies' cages on about 2 nights a week.

I sleep about 5-6 hours a night on weekdays. Which is apparently bad for the skin and bad for health and you'll regret it when you get older and blahblahblahblah I don't give a fuck about it okay so shut the fuck up. (As you can see I hate people who preach.)

Because I don't sleep the recommended dosage of sleep on weekdays, I recharge on weekends.

I like to spend my weekends at home. But if I have plans for going out, I prefer to stick with going out on 1 day per weekend only. Simply because I need to recharge. If I go out on both days, my next working week would be hell.

I prefer to go to the movies on Tuesdays because GV has discounted prices.

I spend most of my free time (and non-free time) online. I always tell people half of my life is online and I mean it. I talk to my online friends more often then I talk to my real life friends, so go figure. And don't preach to me about how online friends aren't "real friends" because how can you be sure how many of those "real friends" you have are real friends.

I need my daily "MY Time", which is why I don't go out much. I can spend MY Time watching videos online or squishing my bunnies or doing nothing much in particular, but it is definitely something necessary.

I find it tiring to interact with people. There are very few people whom I can hang out with and go home at the end of the day not feeling drained. Don't ask me which group you belong to because there's nothing much you can do to change it either. If I still bother hanging out with you, then you're doing fine.

I need to play as much as I work. That's my way of keeping my life un-miserable. Which explains my so-called irregular sleeping habits.

That's about all I can think of at the moment...

Yup so, in conclusion, just because I don't hang out with 438 friends and I don't go out with friends after work and I don't do unhealthy things like clubbing and I don't do healthy things like jogging either doesn't mean I don't have a life. Life is like a pair of shoes, they come in different sizes and designs, some are nice to look at but hell to walk in, some might be the perfect pair that just doesn't come in your size. Just because your foot doesn't fit in my shoe doesn't mean its not worthy of being called a shoe.

And just because I don't have huge ass dreams of climbing the corporate ladder or overturning the PAP or getting a Master's degree doesn't mean my head is up in the clouds. I just like taking life as it comes. I wouldn't say I couldn't care for more, I just don't see the point of stressing my life out by trying so hard to make things go the "desirable way".

YAY! I managed to blog a thesis about life.
This isn't meant to be a rant post or whatsoever. More like... a reply to all the "advice" and "concerns" I've gotten from the people around me over the years. And also an attempt to blog because I haven't done so in the past 11 days. Haha.

SQ flight to Tokyo, 4D3N with 4-star hotel stay at Shingawa. Inclusive of airport transfer summore! All that for only $448+$350 tax/fuel surcharge, which makes it around $800? CHEAPER THAN A DELTA FLIGHT.

And, apparently, the MP of my area is SO modern and hi-tech she's on Facebook.
Also, apparently, they print "posters" from their office printers.

Maybe its just my lack of interest in the political scene but...
What's the point of "like"ing your MP's Facebook page?
It's not like that equals to an actual vote or anything.

Maybe there's some form of interaction with citizens on her FB page.
Like people can post complaints on her wall or something? LOL.

GACKT on SG newspapers~

or rather, GACKT FANS on SG newspapers. LOL.

Long story short, GACKT has been running this campaign called SHOW YOUR HEART to help the victims and survivors of the Tohoku earthquake. And the SG fans managed to get a license to do a 1-day fund raising stint along Orchard Road last Friday.

Of course, I...... didn't take part in the event. HAHAHA.

But at least I took the effort to just go down to show face and show support okay. Good enough for a bo-chup GACKT fan IMO. =P

I can't remember when was the last time I got sunburnt.

And I can't understand why is that like one strip on my shoulder that is exceptionally burnt. It almost looks more like I got whipped right there than sunburnt.

And my ears!! I don't think it usually occurs to anyone to apply sunblock on their ears but now I am enlightened.

Had Blaze Carnival last weekend. Slapped sunblock all over my face and limbs (was in sleeveless jersey and shorts), but it totally didn't cross my mind that my ears were in the sun too. Lol.

They'll just slowly outnumber us in population, and then infest the retail market with goods packaged for them, and then somehow they'll just declare that Singapore was part of Cheena all along. =X

No, but seriously, its annoying enough that most products are Made IN China nowadays. It just irked me so much to see something that was Made FOR China in shops that I had to snap a shot and blog about it.

Today this guy from the Fire Prevention Centre came to the office and gave a presentation on fire prevention and fire safety and all that stuff. If you don't wish to know the scary stuff, skip the next paragraph. In fact, I'll even put it a similar colour to my bg colour so if you wanna read it, highlight it.

It was like the most frightening horror movie I've ever seen. Seriously. I'm not going to put down the gruesome details, but... Images of people burnt in unfortunate accidents, recounts of the family of victims, images of who survived but have to lead the rest of their lives with horrifying scars they got from the burns and skin grafting. I think the most mind breaking one was the footage of victims who jumped out of a high-rise building in despair... there was no safety mattress waiting for them at the bottom. Yeap, they just dove straight into the hard concrete floor.

I don't like watching horror movies or thrillers, not because the movie scares me, but because my over-active imagination will give me the jitters for the next few months. In fact I can still vividly remember the horror movie I watched when I was in poly. But at least it's still fiction.

That fire prevention presentation scared me. Honestly, I was scared. I could barely finish half of my lunch and my hands were icy cold the whole afternoon and I'm quite certain that wasn't just because the air-con was too cold. My mind keeps imagining things. What would happen if a fire really broke out at home? I really want to describe the horrifying situations my mind is showing me now but I don't want the mental images to haunt anyone else reading this right now.

And you know I've been using my laptop on my bed, in fact I am on my bed now as I type this... I hesitated before switching it on (I got approval from the god of the coin). Friends who have been keeping up with my life should know that I made a group of friends online who I chat with every night. All of them life in some other part of the world, mainly Japan. Who's gonna tell them what happened if one day I just disappear from this place? Actually, I've thought about that before but that question just didn't haunt me as much as it does now. If anyone of them just stopped coming online and didn't reply my emails I'd be really worried. Of course, over time we'll probably just convince ourselves with reasons and logic that we make up ourselves. But it still freaks me out thinking about that.

I've been trying to stop thinking too deeply into it, told Mugen how scared I am, cleaned out the junk in the small space between my bed and the wall where my laptop is plugged into... I managed to finish my dinner, and my hands are not cold anymore, but I'm still scared. My mind won't stop just yet. I don't think I've ever felt so frightened my entire life. Damn I hate my imagination at times like this.

Just to pass the knowledge on, in most fires the victims are not killed by the burns but by the smoke. When hiding from a fire (that is outside your house of course), switch off all electricity, close all doors and windows, and use masking tape to tape up all the gaps. Stuff soaked towels under the door. Wet the door with water. This will help prevent the smoke from getting in. Smoke will still get in, but not as quickly. Gain attention by shining your torchlights out of the window. When trying to escape, take out your contact lenses/glasses because the material might melt in the heat.

We don't see fires happening around us that often, but apparently there were more than 5000 cases in Singapore last year. Of course I'm sure that included small fires, and looking at it statistically the odds of getting killed in a fire is maybe about 1 in 1000, but who knows when you might be down on your luck.

You know how those J-dramas and animes usually depict Japanese women as neat, fashionable, good with their hands (origami/crafts/manicure, etc.)...

I must be so lucky to have not just one but two anti-stereotypical Japanese women in my office.

NOT NEAT: The two Japanese women in my office have the messiest desks in the office, and as if that is not bad enough, my boss messes up our desks too. She has this habit of taking things from one place and randomly leaving them at another place, so yea. And the admin? She's in-charge of stock-taking and all that shit, but after they bring stocks back from the warehouse they just leave the boxes lying there on the floor, either until they need the stocks or somebody comes to visit the office. If it is the latter, everything just goes into the tiny storeroom we have in the office, just as they were brought back from the warehouse. No sorting out no repacking, nothing. Like the hell will she know if some stocks go missing.

Not fashionable: I dunno, maybe its just a middle-aged women thing? LOL. I know a couple other middle-aged Japanese women who still take the effort to be fashionable though. Guess it's just them?

Not good with their hands: They can't seem to wrap parcels. My boss can't cut straight along a line. The other woman is just SO EFFING LAZY she can't rewrite the address she wrote on a post-it on to a parcel, she directly sticks the post-it on to the parcel. To top that, she is SO EFFING USELESS she asks my colleague to paste it down with scotchtape for her. Like hello? Paste scotchtape also dunno ah?

I guess from the above you can already tell how buay song I am with one certain person. I think I've bad-mouthed her so much the past week I've secured myself a one-way ticket to hell. But if I'm going to hell for talking behind someone's back then she ought to be a priority passenger since she's chalked up so many points by being such a perfect apple-polisher.

Double-sided tape comes in "can be torn by hand" type and normal type (cannot be torn by hand. i.e. you have to use a pair of scissors to cut it).

I tried, and it's true to what it says. The normal type really was a pain in the neck (it could still be torn, but with tremendous strength and skill).

Imagine... you are rushing for a project, and bought one of those without looking, and when you got to school you realised you bought the "cannot be torn by hand" type, AND you didn't have a pair of scissors...

Are we running out of models in Singapore? I was "headhunted" by those so called "model agencies" TWICE (yeah, hello? two times? are you kidding?) within the short distance from Bugis MRT station to the exit next to Mos Burger. As if its not annoying enough when a stranger stops you when you're in a rush, it just makes it doubly annoying when said stranger is a "foreign talent" and is SHORT. Not that I want to discriminate short people, but in a bustling place like Bugis, and when you're in a rush, it's difficult to hear what the hell you're trying to say when you're twenty miles shorter than me and you're speaking in some ching-chang accent. Sigh. Since when did Bugis get infested with these annoyances.

And it wasn't as if I was particularly dressed to attract attention. Ladies wanting to be headhunted, try dressing as shown above, and then go try your luck walking through the crowds in Bugis.

Been eyeing these three dresses from F21. For some odd reason they're all in the blue palette. None of them are particularly "my style" (except for the fact that they're one solid colour), but for some other odd reason, I like them all :D

But buying all three would burn a huge whole in my yet-to-be-filled pocket though... especially since I seldom wear dresses. Guess I'll slice it down to just one... probably the long one. I won't be wearing it like the model does though, durh.

Went to this whatever BBQ Chicken something restaurant at Tampines 1 with the parents this evening. IT WAS BAD.

This was supposed to be Chicken Cutlet with Tropical Salad & Mashed Potato. Yup, that dubious blob of thing that looks like a giant meatball covered in chocolate sauce is the mashed potato. Didn't quite taste like potato either. And that pile of vegetables beside it was the TROPICAL SALAD. Better known as ACHAR. Seriously WTH.

And then there was a free scoop of ice cream. Not complaining about the ice cream, but what's with that huge ass long spoon when the cup is so tiny. And there was this piece of ice in my ice cream... probably dropped off the inside of the freezer or something. Failz.

Sigh. See, it's not that I want to discriminate yalam restaurants or yalam-looking restaurants... they're just unimpressive. Period.

zomg time doesn't fly, it flashes past. unknowingly, it has been more than a week since my last blog post. fwhohh.

The other day I was at NYDC@BugisJunction with the mother and the sister. We needed a table for 3 but at that time they only had tables for 2, so they had to make some seating arrangements.

And then the staff said, "Table for 3 ah? Um, wait ah... wait awhile ah."

The first thought that came to mind was, "Wait ah"?! Never mind about the Singlish, is that even what you should say to a customer?

But then, the second thought that came to mind put the first thought at peace. He's Singaporean.

I could totally live with "wait ah" if that means they're hiring locals.

I like the long Luka ones... but then like I mentioned, long wigs tangle like crazy esp in humid weather. So yea, don't think I want anything longer than 1m. The longest curly one in there is 85cm.

Bottom two are basically of the same style, just in a different shade of pink. It's like... pastel pink and dusty pink. Sort of.

Recently I've been rather tempted to get PINK HAIR.

Lol, yes, pink. Something like Megurine Luka from Vocaloid or Lightning from FFXIII.

But the thing is... if I'm going to do that to my own hair, I'll probably need to bleach my hair, and then dye it. My hair will probably burn and die. Hah. And I'll probably have to go to a good salon to get that sort of colour done. Plus, touch-ups every now and then. It'll be a nightmare.

Of course there's the option of buying a wig just for kicks... but the thing with long hair wigs is that they tangle easily, especially since its so freaking humid in Sg... I bought a 1m-long black hair wig and it either tangles or sticks to my skin when I move about. Sadly, I doubt I'll ever be able to wear it out shopping or anything. Maybe when I'm in the mood I'll just wear it for fun and take some pictures.

Anyway! The point is, long hair wigs tangle. Yea. And I think pink hair doesn't look as nice when it's short hair.

Howwwwww? I don't think I want to bleach my hair. Should I get a pink wig? Yes yes? :D

Those of you who know me well enough should know about my distaste for the colour purple.

But somehow, as much as it irks me, I just can't seem to get away from it. It's like it's entwined in my destiny or something... every once in awhile it just HAS TO make it's royal appearance on something/somewhere/someone related to me. No I'm not particularly talking about the 2SGD note. It just pops up in all sorts of possible forms... clothes, Stitch, Purple Light (don't ask me about it. LOL), etc.

Hello.

I'm back in Swelter City. Yup... to Pongland and back. Landed at around midnight last night, and was welcomed by a whopping 30 degree Celcius temperature reading. AT MIDNIGHT. It totally just said "Welcome Home~".

Anyways! Didn't go to many places because this is my second time in Tokyo... but it was a fruitful trip nonetheless. Saw GACKT in Nemuri Kyoushirou, met some cyber friends, drank Gogo no Koucha, sent sms in Japanese with a Japanese phone :D, went to Disney Sea in the rain...

I wanted to bring the mini laptop with me to Nippong, but it has been cranky so I sent it to HP two days ago... and guess what, the problem lies with the third party RAM card that Challenger installed when I bought the RAM upgrade, so HP couldn't fix it. So now I have to collect it from HP, and then send it to Challenger to get the problem fixed... even if I had the time to do all that, I doubt they'd be able to return the comp to me by Sunday, so I guess that means I won't be bringing it to Nippong...

Which means I can't change my poupeegirl/play restaurant city/play pigg/play hotel city/listen to niconico broadcasts/CHECK EMAIL. Such a tragedy.

I'm going to work today!!! LOL.

Remember I almost landed myself in some shampoo selling stint (alliteration, hey!) a few months back... that company brought in more products now, and they're rushing to put them on the shelves. But the thing is, they're all products from Japan and they need English descriptions for them.

That's how I got into the picture.

Hoho. So I'm a JLPT 3 holder and I'm doing Jap-Eng translations when the normal Japanese MNC probably wouldn't even hire me as a customer service personnel.

My resume just gets more bizarre.

And then my ex-company (the printing one) called me up to ask for help with 3D rendering cos' apparently their new guy (I have no idea how many ppl they've gone through since I quit. lol) can't do 3D. I don't even know if I still remember how to do it... but anyway I'll prob be dropping by their office this Saturday to get it done.

Hurhur. God is on my side. Bring me the munneh!!!

Okay... shower, feed rabbits, and then sleep. Working at 2pm.

RESTAURANT FAIL.

Had dinner at Pasta de Waraku last night... and it was fail. Knowing Waraku's standards, I kind of expected their pasta outlet to be of similar quality, especially with the super enticing food models in the window. But nooooooooo, it was fail.

First of all, I sank into the chair. Like literally. Even my friend asked me why I suddenly looked so small. CHAIR FAIL.

Friend and I ordered a Mushroom Butter hotplate thingy, Carbonara pasta, and Cod Roe w/ Mushroom soup pasta.

You know when you order a hotplate you'd expect the stuff to be sizzling and smoking... and the butter would melt? THE BUTTER WASN'T MELTING. No smoke no sizzle, but surprisingly the mushrooms were hot. Just screams "microwave~d" to me. Don't even get me started on how about half of the mushrooms were those canned button mushrooms. And the damn thing was pretty salty, by the way. HOTPLATE FAIL.

Then my friend's carbonara pasta came. I didn't have a taste of it so I don't know if it was any good, but according to her there was hardly any taste at all. Kinda like when she eats a piece of bacon, she can taste the bacon, but that's all there was to it. CARBONARA FAIL.

And then there was my Cod Roe w/ Mushroom soup pasta. First of all, the bowl looked weird. It looked like an upside-down hat. And then, there it was, the canned buttoned mushrooms again. The soup was disappointing too. It tasted like one of those Campbell's Oriental thick soup thingies, but a little worse. And yes, it was salty too. SOUP PASTA FAIL.

Throughout our meal they were playing a list of junky English songs. Think along the lines of "Doncha wish ya girlfriend waz hot like meh~". Helloooo I'm having dinner not clubbing. And I have no idea why they had to have ceiling fans. Part of the design, or part of their poor attempt to save the Earth? It just put the ambience down even lower, plus it messes up people's hair while they're trying to eat. And I don't even want to go into how the waitresses were spouting some undecipherable Japanese. AMBIENCE FAIL.

So... yea. Not going there again. EVAR.
