So my netball club organized a netball carnival for primary school kids last Saturday. We've been doing it for the past few years, so it was nothing new, but this year we had new teams joining the competition, including a certain international school.
Call me racist or whatever but I've always felt that ang mohs are ridiculous, paranoid and hypocritical. I haven't interacted with that many of them but so far the ones I've seen are whiny and they over-react to things and it's always ALL about them. Like the world has to work their way around them. In simple terms, they are a pain in the neck.
So there were a few kids from this international school who were wearing caps while they played on court. And one of the teachers from one of the local schools complained about that because according to the rules players are not allowed to be sporting hats or caps or whatever. So we had to approach the ang moh coaches and ask them to get their players to remove their caps.
Then came the drama.
Obviously they weren't happy about that. But we explained that it was written in the rules and none of the local kids are wearing caps blahblah. And ang moh coach got so agitated, "the rules were written for games played indoors, not outdoors in the sun in SINGAPORE", "what about heatstroke?", "so you follow the rules but have no regard for your participants' welfare", "if any of these girls get sick from heatstroke and have to be hospitalised it will be your liability" blahblahblah.
So you ang moh people will suffer from heatstroke but the local kids won't? It's not like they don't get rest. Each game is two halves of 7 minutes, and then they usually get one game in between to rest. Which means they are under the sun for 14 minutes, and then they get 14 minutes in the shade. If your kids are SO prone to heatstroke why are only a few of them wearing caps? Why not the whole team?
Never mind if the coach was making a fuss over the welfare of her players. Fine by that. There was this parent, a MAN, making snide remarks behind. One of the players in the opponent team was wearing a shirt of a different colour, "Oh, is that girl allowed to wear a purple tee shirt? I guess she is because it's not a cap", "maybe players shouldn't be allowed to wear glasses too, its so dangerous".
What kind of pussy are you.
If it was one of the mum's being sarcastic at least I could just leave it at calling her a bitch but a DAD? I hope he doesn't have any sons to inherit his sissy genes. I'm surprised he even managed to father a daughter with those bullshit balls of his.
